@SporpsNerdAlert In 2006 I bought a new Honda Fit for $21k. One evening on the way home from work, I got side swiped by a truck. It should have been written off but ICBC decided to repair it. It took 6 months to repair.

Final cost to repair $14k + 6 months of a rental car.

@frozenpools Nurse benefited from both Sekera and Bear. Both made good decisions in the defensive zone. Someone like Barron could be the answer. Nurse really needs a partner that can do the heavy lifting in the D zone and sit back when he does his thing.

I don't understand why Stanley Cups always seems to be a driver for hiring a GM. In my lifetime (43 years) only 1 GM has won cups with 2 different organizations.

@NHLGoldenBoy The 3 cup winning teams that Chicago had under Bowman's watch never had more than 40% of Bowman's players. Meanwhile the team that won the Bedard sweepstakes had just under 70% of Bowman's players.

If you are using the argument that Bowman is a hockey genius, here are his final 5 seasons in CHI.

It's also worth noting that CHI won the Bedard draft with much of the roster Bowman assembled the season prior.

@Archaeologuy @RomulusNotNuma There is a way or two out but the biggest issue is that Nurse has to agree to it. Utah has no defense under contract after July 1. Swallow some salary (3 - 4m) and he becomes a lot more pallettable. The other option is CBJ.
