@OilersNation Under 70.
70 or more would be the second most of his career. I know you guys love Nuge but he’s not in the upswing here. With all his sugar PP he gets, he might get 50 but that might be a stretch.
@NewWorldOilers Your first unit makes no sense. You have zero net front on your first unit. If you want to swap out Nuge sure but taking Hyman off who’s one of the best net fronts in the league is baffling.
@Oil_Drop 2 agents so far have said publicly he’s a good coach and none of their clients have a problem. Some of their clients play in the Oilers. No anonymous text to an Edmonton media guy so he could rant about it. No opinion discretely “leaked”. We will see what happens.
@dstaples@Oil_Drop As much as I know 97 wants to win, I do wonder if he wants to win at all cost or win with style? I still see a player who after over a decade, cheats for offence & doesn’t pay attention to defence like he needs too. Would 97 sacrifice a scoring title to win a cup? I’m not sure.
@AzorcanGlobal If 97 is so injured, why doesn’t he change his game? He is still trying to go 1 on 3 all the time. So either he’s a moron for trying to do things he physically can’t do right now or, he’s not that hurt. #LetsGoOilers
@KevinMcCurdy@nielsonTSN1260@TheMugNHL People have been making excuses for him for 10 yrs. Playoff hockey is different. Refs don’t call as much. Teams actually play defense. For 10 yrs 97 has tried to go 1 on 3 or more & it doesn’t work. He’s doing the same thing. It’s not injuries, it’s his unwillingness to change.
@nielsonTSN1260@TheMugNHL But he’s really hurt apparently Dusty. Ask @KevinMcCurdy
Must be a brain injury because he forgot to play his position as he cruises the blueline when the puck is at his freaking goal line.
@robhughesyyc@KevinMcCurdy@bcurlock I don’t buy he’s hurt either because of that is a case, he’s a moron for trying to do things he can’t do, due to injury. Yet he keeps trying to go 1 on 3 over and over again.
@KevinMcCurdy@bcurlock I can’t accept 97 is badly hurt excuse for his poor player. He was lousy G1 before he “got hurt”. If he is hurt badly, why is he continuing to try to go 1 on 3? A hurt player changes his game out of necessity. So either he’s not hurt or an idiot for trying things he can’t do.
@dstaples@edmontonjournal David. No disrespect but how about trying to be a little unbiased towards McD for once. You gave him a 7. He was -4 but on for 5 goals against. His goal was a fluke. No team is winning when your best player is that poor defensively.
Just so all the apologists know they blame everyone else year after year. I am a McD fan but he is -4 tonight. That is with him getting an assist on a goal. That means he was on for 5 goals against!! Not good enough. #letsgooilers
@TopTierPucks When McD decides to go 1 on 3 over and over again & turns it over. Thats seriously on the coach?
When Bouch has full control of the puck and throws it away, that’s on the coach?
Have you even actually played the sport before? #letsgooilers
@kylefromda1900s@JasonGregor So Knoblauch coached 97 to do a blind spinning backhand pass in his own zone towards the Ducks bench that resulted in the shorthanded goal?
@KevinMcCurdy@NigelPNigel1 Kevin. I am a huge Bouch fan but he’s been gawd awful in the first 2 game. It’s ok to say that vs dying on a hill for a guy out of spite. All you do is reinforced th point his hater have by sticking up for him when he is as had as he has been. Unacceptable play by him. #oilers
97 has 0 pts! His job is to score. That’s it! He literally gave away a shortie, among his other give aways. He’s a liability on the pp right now. So who are his apologists blaming now? The depth is scoring while he gets his has handed to him by the Ducks 4th line. #oilers
