@ZipanMars @HollyStallcup Nope. Just gave a spiel about consequences and preparing him for HS, without acknowledging that he did nothing wrong. Ironically, he’s in HS now & there’s usually no markdown for late work. Tough for the teachers, but it seems like less focus on punishment does = more learning

@ZipanMars @HollyStallcup Same. Teacher forgot to read my 6th grader’s work. Google classroom proved that the last edit was before the deadline, but she still took 50% off for late work. She refused to change it, tanked his grade and crushed any motivation he had to make an effort in school.

@OhNoSheTwitnt As an aside, some of us with gas stoves can’t afford to get rid of them, even though we want to. We were quoted about $500 to make the necessary changes to the house to switch to electric (in addition to the cost of a new stove).
