@BambulabGlobal X2D owner here. A retractable rack so you can actually watch the print is a smart touch. Does nine tools mean the purge tower finally gets small, or is that wishful thinking?

Got asked yesterday: Bambu X2D or Snapmaker U1? I own the X2D. My honest take: X2D is an awesome printer with a good system in place. Decide on materials first, not head count. Mixing PLA with PETG supports is a different job than just adding colors - personally love the Aux printhead for using PETG for supports. I would start with the best deal and go from there. You can and probably will buy a second printer down the road. @BambulabGlobal reveals the 9-tool H3C on Nov 3. What would make you wait for it?

X2D owner here, happy to answer anything. Are you mostly doing multicolor, or mixing materials like PLA with PETG? I'd decide on that more than the number of tool heads. The X2D Aux nozzle isn't as good as the 4 print heads the Snapmaker has in my experience especially if you are changing a lot. Snapmaker is also faster, but the AMS and overall efficiency of the X2D is nice and enclosed. Good luck with your purchase!

@gregisenberg Same thing is happening in 3D printing. Files are free everywhere, and people pay for the print that actually comes out right. Who's already charging per job done instead of per seat?

@cursor_ai Drawing on the page beats typing "move it left a bit" five times. Does the agent keep the notes as context when it comes back to fix things?
