With so much gerrymandering, picking when and how things are voted on, and partisan shamelessness, our democracy has never been so fake.
They dilute your vote so it doesn’t matter, set up barriers to cast it, and actively run on not just ignoring your needs, but actively harming you and your neighbors.
We have been rousted from the framework of our constitution and shoved into the realm of greed and corruption. The founders could not conceive of the ways you are being deprived of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in our day and age.
It is imperative, more so than ever, that we vote for change.
Defeat MAGA, defeat the do nothing center.
Vote real, actual left, not Schumer “left” Harris “left” or Jeffries “left”.
Vote Bernie left, AOC left, Summer Lee left. A left that will actually fight. That will come out and talk to you, no matter who you are. That advocates for policies that help everybody instead of one’s to hurt others.
You matter, your life matters, there is no rule that says life has to be this hard. That says things have to get worse and that you must live in servitude to the wealthy and corrupt.
My name is Jules Roberson and I am a regular person running for CD3 in Oklahoma. I am not a lawyer, activist, or a politician. I started running last year because at the time nobody else was willing to challenge a 30+ year incumbent in a district that encompasses ~48% of the landmass of our state.
If you want a member of Congress who will work for you, then I ask you to cast your vote for me on June 16th and November 3rd if we make it.
Vote for hope, vote for change, vote for the fight.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has signed a bill into law allowing the creation of “public infrastructure districts,” a concept voters overwhelmingly rejected when presented in a state question less than two years ago.

This Michelle Obama moment should teach every straight Black man, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN STANDUP COMEDY, that whenever you let transphobia slide the first cis women who get attacked are Black women. Transphobia leads directly to misogynoir in America & being transphobic = antiBlack
No it’s not, studies show it doesn’t kill small businesses. It’s an overall benefit. Revenue increases and employee retention both go up.
No it’s not, teens will still learn how to stock shelves at Walmart or whatever else. At most it’ll be a teen getting hired at option B or C rather than A. Then within 4 years all 3 are on the table and the teen is making a few thousand more a year.
No it’s not, if they aren’t hiring people when the min wage is 7.25, they weren’t going to hire regardless
California is the 4th largest economy on the planet while Oklahoma is #8 in poverty. Not even remotely comparable, no matter what job you worked.

Min wage has been US policy for almost a century.
It has nothing to do with red or blue and everything to do with making sure all workers get their fair share.
Weak fear tactics that gives no reasoning for anything, just says words and hopes you go along with it.
Vote Yes
SQ832 is Blue State policy trying to destroy a Red State economy.
SQ832 intentionally hurts the very workers it pretends to help.
It is socialism that will wreck our economy, reduce the number of jobs available and drive up the prices for everyone.
VOTE NO ON SQ832!
A better world is possible.
A new era awaits

Since 2009
Housing prices ⬆️
Groceries ⬆️
Gas ⬆️
Medical care ⬆️
Childcare ⬆️
Min wage - ❌ no change
Home ownership is down from 69.6% to 63.8%
We are currently #8 in poverty at 15.6% being below the poverty line.
1/4 children in our state face hunger
And this man says no, don’t let people earn money from their JOBS because “woke socialism”.
Despicable.

It's the final day of Early Voting, with polls open until 2pm!

We did it. We’re in a NonDoc article!! Let’s gooooooooo

We’ll see how long those odds are in November should I survive the primary.

June 10, 2026: U.S. inflation surges to 4.2%, wiping out any working-class wage growth
June 12, 2026: Elon Musk becomes world's first trillionaire, as net worth grows to $1.1 trillion
This is a catastrophic and moral failure on a systemic level.
No one person should be richer than the vast majorities of countries around the world.
Somehow the debate in my state is whether people in poverty should see increased wages via SQ832, not whether it's right for this level of wealth inequality to exist.
There should be no unhoused, hungry, or people trapped in medical debt in our country.

@OlssonInquiry@edmond_news@OKDemocrats@teegansmith24 Speaking of federal office, there are two-way Democratic primaries in #CD2, #CD3 and #CD4.
Each offers long odds against GOP incumbents, but since this is a thread for Democrats who will see all this on their ballots, here are overviews: https://t.co/Me9u6Xo4xy
🚨BREAKING: A U.S. citizen was riding his bike in Laredo, Texas… when Border Patrol agents pulled alongside him and illegally tried to block him in.
When he kept riding, they chased him down, physically grabbed him by the arm, and immediately started demanding identification and asking where he was from.
He told them he born in Laredo, Texas.
But that was not good enough.
The agent asked, “What high school did you go to?”
He answered that, too… and they still kept demanding ID, over and over again.
The Fourth Amendment exists for a reason. In America, law enforcement don’t get to randomly stop people, physically grab them, and demand identification because they feel like it.
Being on a bike isn’t a crime.
You also don’t have to carry an ID on you unless you are operating a motor vehicle… which he was not.
So, demanding an ID, without probable cause, is illegal.
And the cherry on top? When the man went to use his phone, an agent tried to stop him by grabbing it… apparently unaware the entire encounter was already being recorded by his glasses.
If Border Patrol can stop an American born citizen riding his bike, demand his papers, and put their hands on him without stating a lawful reason… every American should be paying attention.
I'm back, and in reality, you are. Pride exists because we live in a culture that has always oppressed queer people.
So the "war" was already being waged before the first rainbow flag was ever flown. It's why Pride started as a riot.
Nowadays that flag isn't about some nefarious social engineering, it's simply saying that you can be yourself and that's ok.
Teachers by and large are fine with it because they give their all to their students, regardless of whether they are gay or not. They want their students to feel accepted so they can focus on learning instead of worrying about their existence in society and angry adults yelling at them online.
As was mentioned in another reply, there is no gay class being taught in school. 2nd hour isn't gay trigonometry, it's just trigonometry. Which is why when people focus entirely on a colorful flag and not on what's actually being taught, they are being hoodwinked.
So I guess what I'm asking/offering is for you to just let go of hate, and be like yeah, why are we last? What standards have been set? How can we do better?
The answer isn't shoving people back in the closet, it's teaching things that will help kids as they grow up.
Reading, writing, math, how do taxes work, how do you cook food, how do you navigate the internet in a safe way, how do computers even work, etc.
You do this so they have a strong foundation to expand upon in college or in the work force. The goal is for them to be happy, healthy, and capable adults.
OooOOooo, they flew a pride flag during pride month. The month dedicated to saying it’s ok to be yourself and it’s ok to exist.
Terrifying, they might get indoctrinated into thinking it’s ok to be happy 😱.
Meanwhile their guy Ryan Walters was trying to get bibles in classrooms and made the whole state miserable.
Hey Oklahoma, care less about pride flags and more about how we’re at the bottom of education in this country.
No, it wouldn't be uniform because teachers and students aren't a monolith hive mind.
Our state is failing because we spend too much time worrying about culture war stuff.
The state super makes the report that legislators and the governor acts on.
When they spend their time doing outrage content, the state is effectively flying blind in regards to educational standards and outcomes.
Vote for whomever actually talks about standards and outcomes rather than worrying about the 3 extra seconds it took to put up a pride flag.
I gotta go to the store now and get supplies for fathers day next week, making a cake for my dad.
