Complaint Regarding Unfair Distribution of Electricity by @IBEDC_NG in Soka Area of Ibadan.

Dear @IBEDC_NG ,

This is written out of extreme dissatisfaction with the recent and ongoing electricity supply situation in the Soka Area of Ibadan. It is no longer news to residents of Soka that IBEDC has been prioritizing the sale of electricity to private companies in Soka Area, leaving community residents with minimal to no power supply. Houses in the community hardly receive one hour of electricity in a week, while private companies in the same area have a minimum of 15 hours of electricity daily, including weekends.

This practice by @IBEDC_NG is unacceptable and deeply unfair. The residents of the Soka Area are paying their electricity bills diligently, yet they are consistently denied access to the power they are entitled to. This situation has resulted in significant inconvenience, disruption to daily life, and a severe impact on businesses and livelihoods.

The residents have written to inform you to resolve this issue, but nothing has been done yet to address it for over four years now. While I do not want to mention any company names in this letter, the residents of the area have information about the companies that are involved in this practice.

Since they have not been getting a response from you for the past four years, they have chosen to take further action, including but not limited to having a Community Protest (as stated in the attached poster) and contacting the regulating bodies, @NERCNG and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources @Seun_TNA.

I urge you to immediately address this issue. We demand a fair and equitable distribution of electricity, ensuring that the needs of the community are met alongside those of private companies.
