A plane traveling from London to Norway failed to reach its destination after it was forced to land in the Netherlands due to smoke filling the cockpit

The Airbus A320 was en route from the UK to Norway when smoke was detected in the cockpit over the North Sea, prompting the crew to make an emergency landing in the Netherlands.

Upon landing at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport, several fire trucks and ambulances were dispatched to the runway where the Airbus A320, carrying 190 passengers, landed.

Investigators are currently examining the aircraft to determine the cause of the smoke. Passengers were accommodated in hotels in Amsterdam overnight before being able to continue their journey to Oslo aboard another plane the following day.
