Great question! I think believability *partly* lies in the prompter themself. Better models are more likely to respond/ adapt to qualities of the prompt itself. Priming the user to believe. Means the models can tend towards sycophancy. (Ref in my last tweet)

An actor renders a believable performance by mapping a situation to their own personal experience. GPT-4 in contrast has no personal experience to map to, it only has a collective experience. Where then does that believable performance come from?

@drgonzo123 @evangineer Yes, I get this sense. And a key difference is barrier to entry. With blockchain, there is a bigger learning curve to getting started. AI is easier to dive into. Less of “just the usual suspects” jumping on the bandwagon.
