Find me one person sweating like this on the Coastal Road.
Now compare that to Mumbai locals - lakhs of people, every single day!
Non-AC first class. Doors open. Fans + blowers struggling.
Now imagine this with doors closed!
238 AC locals. NOW!!
@RailMinIndia
Both the twin tunnels open directly into residential zones. The intersections on both ends are not design to withstand the traffic influx. There is a high chance it will get congested soon after opening. And this will also give rise to emission levels in the area.
To avoid this, they need to work on improving those intersections and making them non signalised.
@Live_Well_Thee@VishalBhargava5 Given the population demographics this is NOT a feeder system.
One of the biggest idiocacy going on but you know where the kickbacks are going to go
Ladies and gentlemen: India’s most moronic infrastructure project is happening. The pod-taxi in Mumbai - from Kurla to BKC.
₹1000 cr project. Service of 8.85km. Fare per passenger: ₹21/km.
We need to rid ourselves of the delusion that it has anything to do with infrastructure
@IAmSagarSalvi@bhs7rocks@mumbaiheritage The 1950s topography maps under the property of University of Texas shows these railway lines. It was online a few years ago. Have to check whether they are still publicly available
@FAISALmouthshut@bhs7rocks@mumbaiheritage The CST road full form itself is this railway. Central Salsette Tramway. During weekends this line was packed with picnickers to Trombay (Trombay was a picnic point!!!).
GIPR built this line
I’ve been on the Delhi Mumbai Expressway. Some parts are so bad that it will make a competent engineer hide in shame. When history is written, BJP’s greatest failure will be burning tons of money for shabby infra. And killing the spirit of every infra-enthusiast in India.
Traffic is increasing day by day!
Company says: You still need to come to office daily.
Office cafeteria is giving very limited food due to LPG supply!
Company says: You still need to come to office daily.
Employees are coming on time as per login hours, but there is no parking.
Company says: Parking is first come, first serve. Park anywhere.
But one thing is clear - No matter the problem, you still need to come to office daily.
The real reason corporate India hates WFH has nothing to do with productivity or collaboration. The truth is that a massive chunk of Indian corporate management derives its sense of self-worth not from output but from the ability to summon people, make them sit in traffic for 2 hours, and then micromanage them in person. WFH doesn't just save commute costs, it exposes how many "managers" are just babysitters with fancier titles who add zero value when they can't physically loom over your desk.
