#SellBeforeWeDai Posting #readingfc memories and memorabilia from 1871 up until our move away from Elm Park to the Madejski Stadium. Feel free to share yours.
36 years ago. Seems like yesterday! Still the only Reading team and manager to win at Wembley. Every single one of them are and will remain Reading Football Club Legends.
Feel free to share your memories of that special day.

Promising young manager leaves for a team with an animal nickname!
Give the managers job to 4 senior first team players then appoint 2 of them player managers like we did in the December 1994. Made the play off final that season.
2024/25 the new 1994/95 but with a final win?
Back to October 1932 for today's #readingfc v #qpr surrogate, this London Combination programme is actually the oldest in my collection, don't know the score and assume Bob Duguid isn't landlord at The Three Tuns these days 🤣 @TheTilehurstEnd@cribsie@OldRoyalsStuff
I was sad to learn today of the death of former #readingfc boss Charlie Hurley at the age of 87. He had just been appointed when I first visited Elm Park in the early '70s, and led the team to promotion in 1976. 'Charlie Hurley's blue & white army!'... wonderful memories.
The club is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former manager Charlie Hurley, at the age of 87 earlier this week.
Hurley managed the club between 1972 & 1977, winning promotion in 1975 and brought the iconic Robin Friday to Elm Park.

@OldRoyalsStuff@ReadingFC Seemed like the whole of Reading was there that day. Remember being in the back of my dad's car with the Scalfs out the windows and every car we past had them too.
@OldRoyalsStuff@ReadingFC Remember feeling sick when Luton went ahead and the utter joy when Gilksey scored, thinking that maybe, just maybe we'd have a chance.......... 💙🤍⚽️Xx
@OldRoyalsStuff@ReadingFC Was celebrating my 18th as well. Wembley on the Saturday. Valley parade the following midweek and watched it all over again on the coach
