Declassified US State Dept document. US Ambassador cable of July 3, 1971 on his meeting with Bhutto who told the US Ambassador that Yahya Khan was a fraud and had no "genuine intention" to transfer power. According to the US Ambassador, Bhutto "spoke a good deal about Mujib, suggesting that his and Mujib's relations had been close, that their differences had been minor and could have been easily resolved had it not been for actions of the Martial Law Authorities." Bhutto told the US Ambassador that Yahya planned to do to him what he did to Mujib.

The document should be read by all those victims of the disinformation campaign of the establishment over decades that insinuated that Bhutto supported Yahya.
