🎨 #BGdesigninsmallbites 🍴
@lu_waro sent me this kitchen interior to see how it can be improved. Nice design, having a definite theme and some interesting details. The scale of elements as they relate to each other seems off, though. Here’s how you can tell: 1/4
Haven’t done one of these in awhile-this newest #BGdesigninsmallbites is about how adding a bit of ramdomness can give your drawings a more natural, less rigid feel—
Things often look different in life than how we imagine them. This #BGDesigninsmallbites is about something I noticed while researching the look of desert highways for #kidcosmic
Check out HeadGAN, a new neural network that performs one-shot reenactment by fully transferring the facial expressions and head pose from a driving frame to a reference image:

Notice the tasteless use of slow-motion in two shots as cool factor...
Slow-motion is a tool to use very sparingly & consciously. Look how James Cameron uses slow-mo to hold the moment, stretching tension when it's at its maximum.
Neural rendering of a night scene, using 'Instant-NGP'. I found the light amazing. I like the clear delimitation between the exterior (in focus) and the interior (out of focus). This one looks even more like a galaxy.

Freehand drawing practice, planned to excerice without using perspective lines and go more into woobly shapes and lines. #lineart#animationbackground#layout
🐸 I got to help out a tiny bit on Amphibia this season! Here are a few paintings - background design by @J_McCor and art direction by @JacobStreilein and Philip Vose! #amphibia
