Whenever I hear Muslims say Jesus was never crucified and that someone else was made to look like Him, I know they have already admitted one thing: the crucifixion happened.

The Jews believed they crucified Jesus. The apostles believed Jesus was crucified. Even non-Christian historians recorded His crucifixion. According to the Quran, Allah deceived every one of them by making an innocent man look like Jesus.

But if Allah is a good God, why would he create the biggest deception in history?

Why didn't he appear to the apostles immediately and tell them Jesus had not been crucified? Why allow them to preach the crucifixion, build the Christian faith on it, and then wait over 600 years before telling one illiterate man in Arabia that it never happened?

If Allah is just, why allow the disciples to be persecuted and die for a deception he himself created?

And if Allah is all-powerful, why did he need to secretly take Jesus into heaven to escape the Jews? Why not simply protect His prophet openly and expose His enemies?

The Islamic explanation doesn't solve the crucifixion. It turns Allah into the author of history's greatest deception.
