Today, we celebrate the resilience of its people and the steady progress they have made in building a stronger, more prosperous nation. This anniversary honours not only the hard won freedom of the past, but also the continued pursuit of progress, prosperity, and a better future for all.

We value our longstanding friendship with Madagascar and remain committed to deepening our partnership for the benefit of our people. Barely two years after Ruto faced the greatest threat to his leadership, the June 2024 protests, he has bounced back and is now hosting high-level diplomatic engagements.

We concluded the 4th Africa Forward Summit with a magnificent celebration of African fashion, music, and dance at the Kasarani Indoor Arena, showcasing some of the continent’s most distinguished designers, acclaimed music stars, and emerging young artistes.

The performances were a beautiful expression of the richness and diversity of Africa’s cultural heritage, the immense promise of our continent, and the extraordinary talent, innovation, and creativity of our youth.

On behalf of the Government and the people of Kenya, I once again extend our sincere appreciation to all participants, sponsors, partners, and stakeholders whose invaluable contribution ensured the success of this historic summit.

We convey our special gratitude to our co-host, President Emmanuel Macron of France, for his steadfast support and commitment to championing a renewed and forward-looking partnership between Africa and France.
