@PamAltendorf@RPS535 People want out of Rochester and the data shows it. Thanks to @PatGarofalo for pointing me the IRS data but see for yourself where people are moving within the state.
Values shown are AGI (gross income) change based in inflow and outflow residents for 2022.
🎤@RPS535 does not record the public comment part of their meetings.
Fortunately, last night an attendee captured this courageous statement made by an RPS school counselor. She exposes the instruction and intimidation she and other RPS staff have received in discussions about the district’s policy that keeps parents in the dark when their child is experiencing gender dysphoria. ⚠️
She is followed by a former student who shares his experience in an RPS classroom where the pride flag was displayed in place of the American flag.
Open, recorded public comment improves transparency and accountability by allowing the public to learn about important concerns. Teachers and students across the state who struggle to speak up about dysfunctional and coercive school environments will benefit from hearing this.
If there has been an important public comment made at your local meeting, let us know at [email protected] so we can help amply the voice of brave parents, educators, students and residents in your community and get them connected to advocates across the state who are committed delivering solutions for our schools, our students and our state.
