My friend worked as an IT student with the Chinese during the construction of the Lagos–Ibadan railway. He didn’t just tell me about rituals they performed at the sites, he showed me videos of them killing three chameleons before the project started, and other rituals they performed at every train station construction site from Lagos to Ibadan.

He said that before construction even began, they had to fly in a traditional Chinese practitioner whose only job was to perform the necessary rituals whenever required. Alot of rituals took place during the project. They were told that the construction disturbs the nature and the spiritual forces surrounding the area, and those spiritual forces had to be appeased.
