We are thrilled to announce the launch of Zoe Immigration Consulting, your trusted partner in navigating the Canadian immigration process! We provide expert guidance tailored to your needs.
Canada continues to record a high rate of work permit refusals, often due to concerns about an applicant's eligibility, financial capacity, and ties to their home country.
Some common refusal reasons include:
• Inadequate ties to the home country
• Lack of economic establishment or financial stability in the home country
• Bank statements showing large, unexplained deposits
• Sudden and unusual increases in cash inflows
• Employment with very low income relative to the proposed travel or work plans
• Insufficient or irrelevant work experience
• Inadequate supporting documentation
• Poor explanation of the purpose of travel or work plan
• Political and financial situation in your home country
A refusal does not always mean the end of your immigration journey. In many cases, the concerns raised by the visa officer can be properly addressed with a stronger application strategy and supporting evidence.
If your work permit application has been refused, contact us to discuss the reasons for refusal and how to effectively overcome them in a future application.
🇿🇦 South African: You are an illegal immigrant. We don't want you in our country.
🇳🇬 Nigerian: But I am not an illegal immigrant. All my immigration documents are valid.
🇿🇦 South African: Fine. But you're taking our jobs. Our children are unemployed because of people like you.
🇳🇬 Nigerian: I have been running a salon here for 13 years and have employed more than 20 South Africans.
🇿🇦 South African: That business should be run by our children. Why are you the one running it?
🇳🇬 Nigerian: That's possible. If you can find a qualified South African willing and able to run it, I will gladly hand it over.
🇿🇦 South African: That is not the point. Just leave our country before June 30.
🇳🇬 Nigerian: 🤔 .
The truth?
When the goalposts keep moving from "illegal immigrant" to "taking jobs" to "leave anyway," the issue is no longer immigration status.
South Africa should retrace their steps.
Please take your academics seriously if you are still in school; most applicants to public universities in Canada are now being denied because of competition.

The Swedish Parliament has passed a bill ending permanent residency for refugees. From July 12, asylum seekers and certain other immigrant groups will only be granted temporary residence permits.
@EswatiniGovern1 The whole African stood by then during apartheid. Now, they turn against the Africans and worship the white that maltreated them. We wait to see where all these will end.
He has a valid immigration permit.
He has run a legitimate business for 13 years.
He pays taxes and employs South Africans.
Yet, South Africans labelled him a criminal without any proof, and insisted he must leave the country.
If this is not xenophobia, then what is it?
🇸🇪 Sweden’s parliament has passed a new law allowing authorities to revoke immigrants’ residence permits for misconduct, including unpaid debts, undeclared work, or links to extremist organizations.
The law applies not only to future applications but can also affect some permits that have already been granted.
Canada is asking some who received citizenship to surrender their certificates.
Some people who received proof of Canadian citizenship under the “Lost Canadians” legislation are now being told to surrender their certificates of citizenship because the application didn’t cite proof of Canadian family from original sources, such as vital statistics, or explain why original documents were not provided.

PNP Applicants Get Relief as IRCC Temporarily Waives PR AOR Requirement.
Effective June 9, 2026, officers processing in‑Canada applications may temporarily accept alternative evidence of PR application submission for the following work permit applications:
*PNP employer-specific work permits (T13) – where the nomination has expired
*PNP bridging open work permits (A75)
Eligible spousal open work permits for spouses/ partners of PNP principal applicants only.
This flexibility applies only to in‑Canada processing and does not modify underlying program eligibility requirements or the outcome of R10 completeness or eligibility assessments.
Work permit applications submitted outside of Canada must continue to require a PR AOR before the work permit can be processed.
Officers may be satisfied by either of the following in place of an AOR:
*A copy of the email confirming submission of the PR application through the online portal, together with proof of payment of applicable PR fees, or
*Confirmation in IRCC systems that an APR has been received and remains pending, including prospective applications visible in GCMS.
Applications that include one of the above forms of evidence may be approved for the work permit, subject to the usual eligibility and admissibility requirements.
