Grateful to @Elex_Michaelson for asking the critical questions on @CNNTheStoryIs. Taxpayer money belongs to the public, and the president should spend it making life better for the American people, not running ads about himself.

"Taxpayer dollars should be used for the public good, not the President's private gain." Well said by Omar Noureldin, our SVP of Policy & Litigation on @CNN.
We’ve already won a 14-day restraining order against Trump’s taxpayer-funded propaganda ads. We'll continue to fight.
@CommonCause@CNN Grateful to @Elex_Michaelson for asking the critical questions. Public money belongs to the public, and the president should spend his time making life better for the American people, not running ads about himself.
@cspan Last I checked, China doesn't administer a bar exam that lets folks practice law in the United States. But what do I know? I only passed the California bar exam when it was three days long!
@DawgMan78@brianstelter Different in kind and degree. The Infrastructure Law passed Congress with bipartisan votes. Assuming the sign is real, it names the law and the federal agencies carrying it out. No president, no party. That is government telling the public what it built, not a campaign ad.
Looking forward to discissing @CommonCause’s lawsuit challenging the president’s use of taxpayer dollars—money meant for the public good, like schools, healthcare, bridges, etc.—for his personal political propaganda while Americans are struggling with gas and grocery prices.
1/ Update on @CommonCause's case against the Trump ads. A federal judge ordered the administration Sunday at 6:46 p.m. to stop airing its taxpayer-funded ads. Ad tracking data shows they kept running anyway. Here is what we know and what we did about it. 🧵
