We were doing a technical audit to a 6 figure brand and saw their Order Shipped flow wasn't showing prices of the products and was poorly designed.
Image 2 is after we solved it, where it's showing "FREE" on the eBooks and Comics if prices were 0

The account manager came to me frustrated.
He spent an hour trying to fix a price formatting issue in Klaviyo. Couldn't crack it.
I looked at it for 2 minutes and gave him one line of code.
Here's what happened :
He was building email flows for a German brand. The price variable was showing a $ sign instead of the raw number (49.99 was coming out as $49.99)
One line of Klaviyo liquid code fixed it :
{{ event.Price|cut:"$"|cut:"£"|default:"" }}
Instead of the default Price variable you find on the preview tab, I added 2 extra modifiers which check for $ and £ on the price and remove it.
Save this post so that you can easily fix it when necessary :)
Whenever I QA my employees' works and find mistakes, I blame myself, not them.
They're working for me
I'm the one who built this process, set the standards, and decide when it's ready.
If something slips through, that's on me.
Every mistake that reaches a client is ultimately my responsibility.
That's just what it means to run something.
It takes you some loom videos to teach someone a skill
Either you hire them or not, it creates path in front of him which he wasn't aware of.
Give people a chance.
Integrating Zaymo was one of the best decision we made for our clients. Now subscribers can swap items, change quantities, or delay shipments without ever leaving their email. Zero website visits required. 🤯
Less steps = Less churn = More Retention 🤑
Yesterday, I did something I'll never forget. 🏊♂️
40 degrees outside. Peak summer heat. Most people were hiding indoors.
But there I was chest-deep in a pool, holding my 6-month-old son in my arms for the very first time in water.
He looked up at me with those big curious eyes, trying to make sense of this whole new world around him.
No fear. Just pure wonder.
And in that moment, I forgot about deadlines. Forgot about meetings.
Forgot about everything on my to-do list.
It was just him and me.
We talk so much about building careers, but the most important thing I'll ever build is the relationship with my son.
He won't remember this day. But I will.
Every single detail.
The way he kicked his tiny feet in the water.
The way he looked at me like I was his whole world.
The way that felt better than any achievement I've ever had professionally.
...

@GavinHeffo How about you let my team take care of it? my team will design 5 emails for free, based on those you'd decide if you wanna proceed with us.
Most brands beg for reviews. Smart brands make leaving one worth it.
Here's what we built for a subscription client on Klaviyo:
- Setup a flow with custom metric "Eligible for Okendo Review Request"
- Ask for review + offer a reward to Active subscriber ($40 in Autoship credit)
You're not just collecting social proof.
You're rewarding loyalty at the same time.
Two birds. One flow.
This is retarded.
I was reading some David Ogilvy the other day and he would fly out to companies on his own dime and build full pitch decks, mock campaigns, and example ads BEFORE they even agreed to work with him.
Just to get in the room…
The advertising goat would do it… you're telling me you as a nameless person won't do free work?
What do you think an audit is?? We do free audits for every single brand that comes through our pipeline…
I spend an hour pulling up their Klaviyo account, reviewing their numbers, finding problems, and mapping out a plan. For free. Before they ever pay us a dollar.
You think brands are just going to hand you money because you say you're good at what you do?
It just doesn't happen… You have to prove it first.
If you're a freelancer or agency owner just getting started, do whatever it takes to get in the door first.
That means doing the work upfront…
Show up, blow their mind, and then they'll pay you.
Even now, we still do free work in the sales process.
If I never did free audits I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today…
Just like people forget about N8N, people will forget about Claude Design for email designs too.
No calculator ever replaced mathematicians, it replaced those who can't keep up.
If you're designing emails all by yourself, I love your work and I'm proud of you.
