Easy email marketing hack:
Use a pre-loaded checkout page link that automatically takes the customer to checkout with a pre-determined item/offer.
Super simple to do.
Grab your variant ID from Shopify…
Build the URL…
Drop it into your email CTA…
And now just ONE click sends them straight to a checkout.
Works anywhere you already know what they want too... welcome flow, abandonment, win-back, replenishment, etc.
Try it out.
True, I have a few:
> When I feel overwhelmed, I go on a run with zero music
When I’m stressed, I call my dad and go on a walk
> When I feel unmotivated, I walk and listen to Greg Lav / Alex Hormozi
> When I’m burnt out, I grab my nuts and keep working
> When I have a big decision, I call a mentor
> When I’m bored, I jump on random 1:1s with the team to be productive
> When I’ve had a long week, I go out with my friends and don’t talk about work at all
my life changed when i realized most of my days run on a few carefully chosen if-then statements:
• if i have negative thoughts, i go for a long walk
• if i feel uninspired, i read about someone great. it puts my problems back in proportion
• if i feel low energy, i go to the gym.
•if i feel disconnected, i message my wife (or a friend)
decide your if-thens on a good day, so a bad day doesn't have to

Been thinking about this for a while...
I think it's time we either build or have a deep partnership with a CRO team.
Over the past few years, we've been referring out an insane amount of landing page, conversion rate optimization, and offer-building work.
And frankly, I'm tired of sending all of that demand elsewhere when our clients asking about CRO already trust us.
So here's the opportunity…
If you've spent the last few years obsessing over conversion rates, building high-performing landing pages, testing offers, and becoming genuinely world-class at CRO, I would love to talk.
A little context on what we've built at Well Copy (email/sms agency):
- 100+ active ecom clients
- 100+ team members
- 12–16 new brands signed every month
- Clients ranging from 7 to 9 figures in annual revenue
- Built entirely through organic demand over the past 3 years
We've built the infrastructure, relationships, reputation, and distribution to serve our clients in a deeper way.
And we're already seeing the demand for it.
What we need is someone who is exceptional at the actual craft.
I do not know much about CRO, and my current team has only base level knowledge.
I'm open to a few different structures.
I just want to be the best of the best… and I'm not looking to bolt on a mediocre service just to increase revenue. At that point I would rather just stick with email, sms, and retention.
I want to build something that can become genuinely best-in-class.
I envision Well Copy owning the post-ad experience. From offers, to landers, to email, to sms, to retention.
If you've spent years mastering this craft but haven't had the distribution, deal flow, or resources to scale it to its full potential, this could be a very interesting conversation.
Shoot me a DM if this sounds like you or message me someone I should be talking to.
The 7 lowest ROI activities with email:
1. Obsessing over click rates. Irrelevant, just look at revenue.
2. Hyper-segmenting your sends to tiny sub-lists instead of just sending to your full engaged segment.
3. Spending time trying to re-engage unengaged profiles that stopped caring about you months ago.
4. Obsessing over every sentence of your email copy when most people are scanning, not reading.
5. Only sending designed emails and never mixing in text-based founder emails.
6. Building welcome flows or abandonment flows past 5 emails when the first 3-4 make all the money.
7. Writing and strategizing every email yourself because you refuse to build a system with AI.
Here’s the difference between a basic billing reminder and one that actually is churn proof:
BASIC SUBSCRIPTION BRAND:
- “Your order is processing”
- Still firing out of your subscription platform on the default template
- Manage subscription button sitting at the top of the email, pretty much asking people to cancel
- Same generic reminder sent to every subscriber regardless of order number
- No mention of what’s actually coming in the box
- Reads like a bank notification
SMART SUBSCRIPTION BRAND:
- “Here are the benefits you are getting”
- Rebuilt in Klaviyo so they control the whole thing
- Manage subscription button buried at the very bottom
- Split by order number, because someone on order 2 needs a completely different message than someone on order 6
- Free gift front and center in the hero
- A visual gift roadmap showing what unlocks at order 3, 4, 5
- Reads like a reward
Same email... but a COMPLETELY different customer reaction.
Optimize this one email correctly and you’ll see your churn drop dramatically.
Great price objection email here...
1. Price Reframe: “You spend a third of your life on it, and about $2 a day for it”
2. Justify / Explain Price: “We use 4x the foam density of what you’ll find at that price” “Built to hold its shape for a decade, not 18 months”
3.Reframe Benefits... More Than A Mattress: “You’re not buying a mattress, you’re buying every workout hitting harder, every morning starting without a fight, and a decade of actually recovering”
Love how it comes from the founder as well, adds a bit more emotional connection.
Brands incorrectly assume they need a new idea every time they send an email.
This couldn't be further from the truth.
A wise man once said, “People need to be reminded more than they need to be instructed."
Your customers don't need a new lesson every week...
They need to hear the same core message, the one that already resonates, said in different ways over and over again.
Look at this example from Neutonic.
They have one core message:
Afternoon energy crashes are killing your productivity and Neutonic fixes that.
Email 1 leads with a mirror - "9:02 am you vs. 4:17 pm you." Instead of relying on stats, they tap into a familiar feeling you immediately recognize in yourself.
Email 2 leads with a stat - 56% of their customers said afternoon energy was a problem. They're using social proof to validate the pain before presenting the fix.
It’s the same message with two completely different angles.
There are a million ways to repackage the same angle without it ever getting boring.
Keep reminding people of your core benefits.

A 10/10 marketing email…
If someone joined your list 30 days ago and still hasn’t bought, you can hit them with an email with a stupid strong offer.
At that point they’ve been through your entire welcome flow and a full month of campaigns. None of it worked, and the odds of them converting on their own only drop from here.
So get aggressive instead...
Trigger it off subscribed at least 30 days ago, placed zero orders over all time.
Then give them credit instead of another generic discount.
Can frame it as:
“We deposited $15 into your account”
“You have $17.63 in unused store credit”
“Your account credit expires tonight”
“A $20 digital gift card has been activated”
Nothing you’ve sent has worked on them... so might as well take a big swing.

Adding “Sent from my iPhone” at the bottom of a plain text email is actually clever.
Comes across wayyyy more native than a usual footer.
Don’t underestimate how much the little stuff matters in plain text.
Worth testing on your next send.
Here’s a split test we recently ran:
Showing the price vs. hiding the price.
Showing the price generated $2,437 in sales.
Hiding the price sold just $964.
Why?
Showing your prices upfront generates more purchase-intent clicks.
While there’s no curiosity about the price, it’s great for lower-priced, impulse-driven products.
Hiding the price can boost click-though rates because people have to click to find out how much it costs.
This is especially useful for higher AOV products where you want to sell through emotion first.
You can run this as a simple test to find out which works better for your brand.
Split your next few campaigns 50/50, price shown vs. hidden, and measure CTR and sales.
