لقد استطاع نموذج ذكاء اصطناعي من OpenAI أن يحل معضلة رياضية معقدة اسمها Navier-Stokes Problem، واحدة من المعاضل التي لم تحل منذ 90 عاما، حل هذه المعضلة يستحق جائزة Millennium Prize Problem التي أقيمت عام 2000. قيمة الجائزة 1,000,000 دولار.

المصيبة الكبرى لو صحت ستكون كارثة على شركة OpenAI، يدعي رياضيين- كانوا يعملون على المعضلة- أنهم هم الذين حلوها، وأنهم كانوا على وشك إصدار ورقة علمية، وأن الذكاء الاصطناعي سرق الحل منهم.

يقول الرياضي الذي عمل على المشكلة أنه استخدم Codex من شركة OpenAI حتى يكتب الورقة العلمية للحل الذي اكتشفه، استخدمه صديقه كذلك لمحاولة إيجاد الحل للمعضلة، لكن الحل من الذكاء الاصطناعي كان ردئيا للغاية، فلم يستخدموه.

بعد ذلك انتشر خبر أن شركة OpenAI حلت المعضلة، فتواصل معهم الرياضي وسألهم إن استخدموا ما كان يكتبه هو وزميله بـ Codex لتدريب الذكاء الاصطناعي، فقالوا له أنهم لم يستخدموا المعلومات التي أدخلها، ولكنه كرر السؤال حتى يأخذ إجابة واضحة، سألهم إن دربوا النموذج على معلوماته وليس إن قد أعطوا الذكاء الاصطناعي معلوماته مباشرة، فلم يردوا عليه. واوا!

This is bad .. really bad because they are experienced pilots , it is possible that he did not perform reverse thrust procedure correctly which resulted in go-around thrust setup instead. Anyway why going to idle at that point and attempting brake again when you can go-around.
