First of all, I'd like to apologize for not making a Pride Month post for so long, leaving to the second last day of the month.

To be honest, I was trying to avoid it/procrastinate on it for as long as I could so that I wouldn't have to face the uncertainty that's been brewing inside me for a while now.

For the longest time, I've considered myself to be fully aboard the gay train, both due to attraction & due to scary and awful experiences with the opposite sex. I tried experimenting with bisexuality in the past, but those experiences just put me deeper into the lesbian closet.

Lately though? I've felt much more comfortable around guys. Maybe it's due to the ones I hang around with, but people like Lluis & a lot of the other effeminate men/femboys that I know just... Make me feel safe? I don't feel like I'm in danger or intimidated by them at all.

I really want to thank Lluis and Mariah for making me more comfortable and letting me vent my feelings, as well as chat for listening to me ramble about my inner demons to them.

As for the attraction side, whether romantic or sexual, I've never really had a genital preference. I discovered this when I dated my ex, who was a trans woman. And now I'm starting to feel that, with the correct individual, the gender wouldn't matter either.

Then there's the whole attraction to monsters- thing. I've talked about this a lot, but to me monsters transcend gender and sexuality. I still feel the same way, and have no preference when it comes to the sex/gender of fantasy creatures.

So I'm split between two worlds: I'm not sure if I belong either to the lesbian camp or the bisexual one. For the bi-side, am I valid even if I'm only attracted to two or three men in the real world?

As for the lesbian side, does said attraction invalidate me, or is that attraction even real? It also doesn't help that all of my art & illustrations are with the long bacon flag LMAO

I know labels shouldn't be important & they should only be for myself, but I don't enjoy this feeling of being conflicted on the inside. My community is mostly queer and I don't want to catch flak from either side, I don't want to seem like a poser or that I'm seeking attention.

So in the end, I hope that you'll still be at my side and support me even as I navigate through the churning waters of my sexuality & whether I end up identifying as gay, bi or something else.
