This question is irrational. The period of time narrated in the Bible covers the life of Jesus and the Apostles. There were no saints in heaven until after the Ascension of Christ, so we should not expect men to to be led in prayer to saints by Jesus while He was alive.

Second, the Apostles were the first saints, given miraculous powers on earth, and men sought them directly for assistance, on earth.

The rational question would be, "After the death of the Apostles, did Christians continue seeking the assistance of the Apostles?"

The answer to this question is YES, and we have evidence of this in the Catacombs, where prayers to Peter and Paul are carved into the walls.

Protestants apparently believe the early Christians were all idolaters who practiced necromancy. The reality is that Protestants invented their own religion in the 16th century which has nothing to do with real Christianity.

“Homeless” is a propaganda word used to describe people on the street who are mentally ill or severely addicted to drugs. The honest reality is that we need to bring back asylums for extreme mental illness or drug addiction for those who are a serious danger to themselves or others.

Every appeal to Scripture is an appeal to an interpretation of Scripture.

For the Catholic, Scripture is read within the Church that received it, preserved it, canonized it, preached it, and handed it down.

For the Protestant, the final authority on what Scripture means is ultimately his own interpretation.

That’s why you can ask 10 Protestants what the essentials of the Christian faith are according to the Bible and get 10 different answers.

Likewise, this is why after 500 years of "Scripture alone" you have constant schisms, division, and thousands of denominations and counting.

Because in Protestantism, the individual ultimately becomes the highest authority, and what counts as "faithful to Scripture" is determined by the individual’s own interpretation, with no higher earthly authority capable of correcting him and definitively settling disputes.
