@Rick_Ferri @DanielYerger3 For clarification, it sounds like you know that it takes 4 hours to develop a financial plan and you want to charge $250/hr. , so your fee is ~$1k. Are you talking with the client for 4 hours? How comprehensive are your financial plans. Trying to understand and learn.

@Rick_Ferri @DanielYerger3 Why would you not charge your clients for the 5+ hours it takes for you to develop the financial plan to come up with your summary? Especially, for a new client, a majority of your time is spent NOT talking with the client to develop their financial plan.

Simple finance questions are often quite difficult to thoughtfully evaluate.

Even if the math is easy, the logic can be hard.

It’s easy to miss an opportunity cost here or there, and inadvertently compare apples and basketballs.

That’s okay.

We all do it from time to time.

Think of drills that keep everyone engaged and moving. As always, try to make a game out of everything.
