If you check Dangote, Otedola, and Tony Elumelu's academic records, you will discover that they were not the best student in their classes. But they are the best successes in life. So, don't let your position in class make you think you have more class than others in your class. Education is good. A first class result is to be desired. But the end justifies the means. As long as you pass in life, your grade in school does not matter. And if you fail at life, what is the use of your certificate?

Every Nigerian who graduates from university or polytechnic is guaranteed accommodation, job experience, and salary for a year, courtesy of the Federal Government, through the National Youth Service Corps.

America does not offer such opportunities to Americans.

Britain does not offer such opportunities to Britons.

Canada does not offer such opportunities to Canadians.

South Africa does not offer such opportunities to South Africans.

Saudi Arabia does not offer such opportunities to Saudi Arabians.

But Nigeria does. Nigeria also has one of the lowest tuition on Earth at her public universities, as well as one of the most funded government scholarship scheme on Earth through the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Tertiary Education Trust Fund, and the Federal Scholarship Board.

But of course, when your eyes are determined to only look for bad things to see about Nigeria, you will not see these benefits. Your eyes will show you what your minds want it to see, because the challenge is your mindset about Nigeria, not necessarily Nigeria.

Watch other countries. You will notice that they attack their leaders, but they don't attack their country. They promote their nations. But in Nigeria, we attack our leaders by attacking our country. Leaders come and go, but Nigeria is forever.

You keep saying Nigeria owes you fuel subsidy, free education, and cheap food because Nigeria is an oil rich country. Let us examine the facts about how oil rich Nigeria is:

Nigeria produces less than 2 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 200 million people.

Ghana produces 200,000 barrels of oil daily for a population of 35 million people.

Angola produces 1.1 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 34.5 million people.

Libya produces 1.2 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 6.7 million people.

Saudi Arabia produces 12.5 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 35 million people.

Qatar produces 2 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 2.6 million people.

The UAE produces 3.7 million barrels of oil daily for a population of 9.6 million people.

Nigeria is not oil RICH. Nigeria is oil POOR. Our oil is a drop in the ocean compared to our population. By a ratio of resources to population, Nigeria is one of the lesser resourced nations in the world. Don't use Ghana, Angola, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, or The UAE to compare with us. They have more resources than us per capita. The only major thing Nigeria has more than those nations is a humongous population of ENTITLED people. If you and I do not produce, and if our government does not cut waste, Nigeria will sink into deeper and deeper poverty, even if you bring angels from heaven to govern Nigeria.

It’s no coincidence that on 25th February, there were no IPOB attacks in the South East, where a candidate from the region recorded 95% of the votes. Most of those involved in carrying out the atrocities were busy at the polling units, voting for their supreme leader.

However, once the elections were over and their supreme leader did not win, they resumed their normal activities in the South East.

Let me ask those saying we should treat Mmesoma with kid's gloves a question:

If her backers' false accusation that a Yoruba Registrar General of JAMB was perpetrating an ethnic agenda against an Igbo minor of 16 had led to war or an ethnic crisis, what would you have said?

Is this not how previous ethnic conflicts started and led to the destruction of billions in infrastructure and the needless deaths of numerous Nigerians?

People who say we should just forgive and forget are more dangerous than the Mmesomas of this world. Because they always apologise and excuse criminals, those with criminal tendencies will always feel that there is still room for them to perpetrate crimes.

Don't you see how the Oyo State Government dealt with the case of the skit maker called Trinity, AKA Maruf Abdullahi? That is how a responsible government handles issues that are capable of destroying the moral fabric of society. The next time, there will be no more Trinity stunts in Oyo. But I can bet that there will be more Mmesomas in Anambra.

A society that tolerates crime will be a society that accelerates slime!
