We call on President Biden to address the injustices and impunity at the root of the current crisis, so that both Palestinians and Israelis can enjoy human rights in peace and security. President Biden must also cease US unreserved support for Israel’s actions in Gaza and the OPT
Even if your account has few followers and the new algorithm shows no likes, reposting will boost the numbers. It's all we can do. Please share posts on what is happening in Gaza. They deserve witness even when we can offer nothing else. I feel helpless and sick.
Without addressing the root causes of this violence, including impunity for war crimes by all sides and Israel’s system of apartheid imposed on Palestinians, civilians will continue to pay the price.
In Gaza, Israeli forces are carrying out relentless attacks reducing entire neighborhoods to rubble – at least 950 people have been killed, many more are trapped under the rubble. As the death toll mounts, we urge Israeli forces to make every effort to spare civilian lives. (4/4)

Massacring civilians is a war crime. There can be no justification for these reprehensible attacks. They must be investigated and those responsible held accountable. All Palestinian armed groups in Gaza must release all civilian hostages unconditionally and immediately.

Amnesty International stands in solidarity with all the victims of these latest attacks.
Amid news that #Gaza’s only power plant has run out of fuel @amnesty urges the Israeli authorities to immediately restore Gaza’s electricity supply and lift its inhumane & illegal siege
The shutdown of Gaza’s only power plant will exacerbate an already desperate humanitarian crisis for more than 2.2 million people trapped in the Gaza Strip.
Israel must lift the illegal and inhumane blockade on Gaza as power plant runs out of fuel.

The more "UK Black history" books I read, the more I see they're mostly about England, major cities (London really), + also disproportionately centre men. We need more about women, Wales / Scotland / Ireland / and towns / rural / coast / minor cities. It's lonely out here!🙄🙃
(From the settler state of “manifest destiny” that dispossessed Indigenous ppl w/ continued occupation of their unceded lands and enslaved millions of Africans, that stays destabilizing independent republics and fabricated WMD narratives to invade Iraq and and and….this tracks.)

labels some Black women writers' work "useless" 👇🏾
in AH's review: "this strikes me as an odd way to model black solidarity...at a time when so many black men are becoming more intentional about examining their misogynoir + protecting black women, it’s careless + disrespectful."
