Pope Francis was the rare leader who made us want to be better people. In my opinion, If these allegations are true Opposition Hon members of Parliament could have taken a more strategic and people centered approach. Rather than rejecting or returning the 100M, they should have accepted the money as a gesture of solidarity with the many Ugandans who are suffering. The opposition, acting as a united front, could have agreed to transparently use these funds to directly benefit communities in need. By investing in meaningful projects that uplift citizens, they would not only demonstrate accountability but also position themselves as true representatives of the people. After all, returning the money does little to hurt the government. But using it to make a tangible difference to change lives of ordinary Ugandans would have spoken volumes.
