Thank you, Your Excellency, President @KagutaMuseveni, for honoring the invitation and graciously presiding over the closing ceremony of the Afro-Arab Youth Congress. On behalf of the organizing team, I extend our heartfelt appreciation for your unwavering support throughout the one-week Congress, and for facilitating the safe return of all young delegates to their respective destinations. The following groups were transparently supported in the presence of a joint security team: National Youth Council: 445 delegates led by their Chairperson NRM Youth League: 75 young people led by Hon. Tanga Collins Patriotic League of Uganda: 50 young people led by Mr. Kamukama Institutions: Initially planned for 125 participants, but the number rose to 440. In consensus with institutional leaders, it was agreed that the available resources be shared equally. Uganda National Students Association (UNSA): 10 delegates Interparty Youth Leaders Delegation: 11 members Support Team: Over 69 members In total, all the 800 originally planned local youth delegates were fully catered for and returned home safely. Note: The only affected group was the Institutions category, where over 315 non-delegated students from Kampala-based institutions infiltrated the program this unfortunately impacted the original allocation intended for the 125 official representatives. All recognized group leaders duly signed for and managed their teams responsibly. It is important to clarify that Media, older persons, NGO representatives, State House staff, government employees, NRM Secretariat members, Patriotism Secretariat staff, Office of the National Chairman delegates, and staff from the Ministries of Gender and Presidency were not included in the transport refund arrangement. Special appreciation to the Afro-Arab Youth Congress Secretariat led by Hon. Dr. Abasi Agaba, the @Mglsd_UG, @StateHouseUg, Ms. @JaneBarekye, and the Office of the President under Hon. @MillyBabalanda and Hajji Yunus Kakande for a job well done. @NRMOnline @mkainerugaba

Our attention has been drawn to a circulating advert on social media indicating that the Uganda Police Force is recruiting men and women to work as polling constables during elections. Kindly note that it is FAKE. Whereas there are plans to recruit polling constables, we haven't issued any communication in regard. We urge members of the public not to fall victim to fraudsters and always verify information with official police channels.
