One Codex is heading back to Boston this week for the Microbiome Movement Drug Discovery Summit! We’ll be giving a talk on FAIR data and the role of bioinformatics, as well as how building a FAIR data platform can enable ML and AI methods for microbiome research.
Introducing Genome Library: Easily assemble, annotate & analyze microbial genomes. Search & compare isolate sequences in real-time. Learn more about our complete platform for microbial genomics: https://t.co/VaQAap0Vse
The latest feature on One Codex: Our Custom Plots tool has been expanded to allow you to explore the functional classifications of multiple samples at once! Find out more in our new blog post: https://t.co/RtO2sEb5nH
Our team is at #IDWeek2023 in Boston this weekend! Check out our booth (booth 1631) for a live demo of One Codex and a preview of our new solutions for Clinical Metagenomics and Genomic Epidemiology. We'll also be presenting a poster (number 2467) on Saturday. See you there!
We've packed our beach reads 🧬⛱️ (ATGGCC...) and we'll see you in West Palm! Visit our booth (412) at #ASMCVS to learn about our latest tools for metagenomics and viral sequencing
@BioMickWatson We took a pass at running the Kozich, et al samples through our Targeted Loci (16S) pipeline - while we encourage everyone we can to use shotgun, we like to think it’s still possible to get reasonable results with 16S! Here's what we saw, blog post + notebook coming soon:
We've made it even easier to discover new viruses! Consensus genomes are now part of the standard output for the Twist Comprehensive and Respiratory Viral Research analyses. Find out more in our blog post: https://t.co/bA3a2Oa1nG
One Codex is thrilled to announce our partnership with 4bases! We've been working together to validate a bundled sample-to-report solution to address the demand for #CEIVD microbiome profiling in the EU.

Major update to the One Codex database! Now with 148K microbial reference genomes, and a 220% increase in viral genomes, this will significantly improve pathogen detection in microbiome samples & metagenomic data. Details here: https://t.co/CqD27ZfFt8
@phylogenomics@onecodex we offer cost effective shotgun sequencing from isolates + metagenomes (inc. DNA extraction, library prep, and data analysis) with 1-2 week TAT and no minimum batch sizes. We’re happy to field any questions here or at [email protected]!
It’s now easier than ever to compare and contrast your data with public datasets in SRA! We’re delighted to share our new SRA import feature, letting you load SRA data into One Codex with just a couple of clicks. Learn more in our latest blog post: https://t.co/bCCS87oUjN
Our SRA importer integrates perfectly with Custom Plots and Notebooks on One Codex - import an entire project from SRA in minutes with complete metadata, then explore the results interactively with our rich microbiome analysis toolkit.
The ATCC Genome Portal December 2022 release is out! https://t.co/qeDc03OkqI (cc:@officialATCC@ATCCgenomics)
this release includes fully traceable genome assemblies for an additional 80 bacteria, 6 viruses, and 5 fungi.
Some cool ones include …
@bioinformatics Great Q - QC is probably 90% of the effort/time taken during the build process. I’ll let @heyaudy chime in with specifics around how we think about selection + filtering, but at a high level it’s about optimizing for assembly quality and parsimony along it’s taxonomic lineage.
We've recently released a big update to our One Codex Database, which now includes over 127k reference genomes covering >80k microbial species. We couldn't be happier with the performance of this new release. Read more about it in our latest blog post: https://t.co/DLLn6ZsGJh
