Babylon's Fall is an example of how the gaming community fails to respect video games as art by transforming completely valid titles into irredeemable catastrophes and demonizing those behind them.

@retrostuff_org Thanks for following! Just as a heads up, I've more or less dropped this account for now (long story as to why and why it's still listed lol.)
Feel free to follow me over at my personal @Oculin.
Dog of Bay is easy to gawk at for its uncanny character design. Despite that, the presentation brings everything together in the end.

@Quest64Official It's kind of interesting that there's a lot of characters in Quest 64 that look like they should be playing a more active role in the world, but basically just there for a handful of dialog boxes.
How wide do you cast your gaming net? I think specializing in a particular type of game is great, but I also love seeing as many edges of the gaming industry as possible. It keeps things feeling fresh for me.
This week I talk about the Pripara Mobile game, hardware-specific games, and identifying my fighting game pain points with Melty Blood.

@theWellRedMage But it's really nothing for people to get annoyed at. Genres and short hand terms are just weird and aren't perfect, and that's OK as long as you and the other person can establish what they're talking about through other means.
@theWellRedMage It's one of those weird things where we use "turn-based" as a short phase to describe something, but there's some variance in the purpose of it. I wouldn't stress too much about it. For some people there is a need to distinguish ATB from a more traditional turn based game.
@BrandNewman06 I'm not sure if it's because it's running in emulator so it looks clearer than on console, but I don't think I realized that visually the game has a surprisingly similar look to Babylon's Fall lol.
Months have passed since my last video of Ougon No Kizuna (Golden Bonds) on #Wii.
Without spoiling too much, please find below the 1st "bonding" quest completed.

I've been playing video games my whole life, but there are many more experiences out there that provide valuable insights into games I never could. There's nothing wrong with having someone represent the perspective of someone who found games later in life.
Ignore everything else in this oped & answer me why people who by their own admission didnt play games are getting gigs at publications dedicated to gaming
So much gaming coverage would improve overnight if various publications actually hired people with a deep history of gaming
I'll probably never play it, but Spica Adventure looks very cute. Sounds like it was an old arcade game getting ported forward to modern consoles.

Crystal Bearers is one of those games I like in concept more than execution, but glad to see it get some prime time representation in the anniversary art. I still need to play more games in the series. I've only played the Original and CV.
@Moth_Lobster Yeah, even at the time VAing for FFX was pretty new. There are some scenes that they did with Famitsu that added voice acting in some youtube videos. Obviously these were never in the game, but were nice for the fanbase. These contain spoilers.

@keke_094 Yeah I find myself sometimes being a bit nostalgic for the music specifically. I remember also generally liking Gre and Pepper a lot at the time too.
I've debated revisiting the DC original since I've heard the GCN version cut down a lot of that game.
@melonc0la Have you messed around with Shooting Heart at all?

I haven't looked around to see if it's accessible, but I probably should toss it up on https://t.co/rHkYZkPhKf at some point and scan the cover.
