Hey @grok, could Canada realistically replace the U.S. market with Europe and Asia if the trade relationship seriously deteriorated? Short answer. No sugarcoating.
The U.S. doesn't care what Canada thinks
We'll INFORM YOU of the terms and honestly we don't care if you accept them or not
WE DON'T NEED YOU!!
YOU however NEED US!!
@PaulBro86084222@NorthrnPrspectv Holly shit you are dumb! It won’t hurt Carney, but it will absolutely destroy you guys to where books will be written about it. Don’t take my word for it. Enjoy hahaha
@JayGenXer If anyone know Trump the way we do, if they do get back to the table… Trump will now get 10x what he was even asking the first time. Canada is fkd! Feel bad for the conservatives.
@Shawn_in_TO@mario4thenorth People as dumb as you should even be allowed to use the internet let alone drive a vehicle. Liberals are seriously the lowest iq cockroaches to ever exist.
@RebelNewsOnline@RebelNews_USA@RebelNews_CA Holly shit this dude is beyond fkn stupid. The last thing you ever want to do is puss Trump
Off and especially when he has Canada by the balls. It’s like Mike Tyson fighting a 3 year old.
@Sassygal1971 Not to mention the US imports less than 2% of its consumption.
The cross border trade in electrical power is reciprocal.
The US would merely ramp up a bit of their production.
Our leadership in Canada is composed of idiots and megalomaniacs.
To everyone demanding that Doug Ford “cut off the power” to the United States:
Do you people have ANY idea how the North American energy system actually works?
You want to play hardball by shutting off electricity exports to the U.S. Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of barrels of Canadian oil move through the United States every day on their way from Alberta to Ontario.
So what exactly is the plan?
We cut their power, they decide to restrict Canadian oil moving through their pipelines, and then Ontario gets to discover what “energy independence” looks like when the gas stations, refineries and supply chains start feeling it.
But hey—at least the Facebook comments will be absolutely furious.
Energy policy isn't a temper tantrum.
You don't get to scream “CUT THE POWER!” while pretending the Americans have no leverage over the energy we depend on.
If you want to play chicken with the largest energy trading relationship in the world, at least learn where the damn fuel comes from first.
Because the people yelling loudest about cutting off the Americans seem to have done the least homework on what happens when the other side cuts something off too.

@SheldonMiller@GBC_Press Are you fkn retarded? America’s vastly larger economy and Canada’s extreme dependence on the U.S. market. 75% of its exports mean the U.S holds overwhelming leverage while Canada would get crushed you dumb fk!
