We’ve been researching new ways for ChatGPT memory to carry context across conversations and keep it useful over time.
Today, that work is rolling out as a more capable memory system in ChatGPT. https://t.co/0MyFKCe2Mu
“We keep finding results that mirror human neuroscience in a system that was inspired and engineered based on human neuroscience.” Unbelievable insights here.
I personally find this rhetoric irresponsible and unscientific for how provocative it is in all the wrong ways, even a potential memetic hazard. Gotta stop it before it’s too late because i suspect it will evolve into something ugly and weird as hell.
I’m more cynical and think it’s just part of a game strategy, and it’s not about job losses. That is however, a very effective and weaponazible narrative. Multiple things can be true at once. Society is a legacy system barely maintained and it can only be patched slowly over many decades. AI will just create a new elite class in the world, and plebs won’t see shit for generations to come in the form of “products for the plebs.”
Regulatory and institutional capture broski. We’re all sweet summer children if we think the benefits of ai won’t be gatekept, controlled, suppressed and slow-dripped to the masses. It’s only a matter of time. Like how lots of other technological branches are forever suppressed by a select few. Current sota AI is just toy compared to its potential.
@phteocos Whatever the majority seems to lean towards/fall for is the most likely to be the evil party. Just the way the world works for some reason. It’s almost like the golden ratio.
Today, we share a breakthrough on the planar unit distance problem, a famous open question first posed by Paul Erdős in 1946.
For nearly 80 years, mathematicians believed the best possible solutions looked roughly like square grids.
An OpenAI model has now disproved that belief, discovering an entirely new family of constructions that performs better.
This marks the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics.
We’re adding new ways for people to identify AI-generated images and understand where they came from.
In addition to C2PA Content Credentials, images now also contain a SynthID watermark, and can be identified using a public verification tool to check whether an image was made by OpenAI products.

Gemini 3.5 Flash is built to help you execute complex, agentic workflows.
3.5 Flash rivals flagship models to deliver frontier performance for agents and coding, at the lightning speeds you expect from the Flash series.
You do realize that any possible idea any person could have “privately” any other person can also have? Ideas are a dime a dozen, even more so now. Everything you’re thinking of, somebody else is thinking of or has already thought of, maybe hundreds of years ago even. That said, never stop creating and have fun cuz that’s one of the sparks of life.
