Plastic never really goes away. It just breaks up infinitely into smaller and smaller pieces. In this artwork, titled “Horror,” artist Meredith Andrews displays the plastic dolls and doll parts she collected on the beaches of Bermuda, reflecting the true nature of plastic’s endless existence.
It’s estimated that more than 17.6 billion pounds of plastic enters the world’s oceans every year—roughly equivalent to dumping a garbage truck of plastic into the oceans every minute.
