MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE is now tracking to be the biggest bomb of the summer, causing Amazon MGM to lose over $100 million.
It opened to $54M globally ($29M domestic) on a $170M–$200M budget.
Even as someone with a PS5 and a PC, I think console exclusivity is super wack.
I just think of how unfortunate it would be if movies were theater exclusive and you could only see something like Nolan films on 70mm IMAX screens...
Really disappointing to see a return to console exclusives. Feels like the industry is regressing when millions of players like myself will now no longer be able to experience a game like gears or clockwork revolution
The thing about Obsession, and excuse me if I'm retarded, but there is zero implication as to why Nikki would/could do most of the shit she did in the movie.
@Valkyrie_Fleur It's just a Backrooms thing.
On top of it being a horror movie, which is already going to bring in a certain crowd, it also being a huge internet thing with younger people, it was kind of a no brainer that it was going to be a pretty shit theater experience.
Interesting, considering how long it took for them to break even with Alan Wake II, you would think they'd try to set this game up with as much opportunities for success as possible.
Remedy Isn’t Worried About Releasing Control Resonant Near GTA 6
Most game developers would avoid launching near GTA 6, but Remedy Entertainment sees things differently.
Remedy CEO Jean-Charles Gaudechon explained why the studio isn’t concerned about releasing Control Resonant around Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto VI.
Instead of viewing GTA 6 as a threat, Remedy believes it will benefit the entire gaming industry.
Gaudechon said 2026 is expected to “raise the tide” for everyone, as GTA 6 will attract millions of players
Remedy is confident its game will stand out. As Gaudechon put it, players can “expect a voice that will cut through the noise.”
Remedy’s stance is that the studio’s loyal fanbase will help the game find its audience.
@thisislijoe Ngl, I wasn't a huge fan of this one.
It's solid on a mechanical level, but I don't think it dug deep enough or went in any satisfying direction, especially given the subject matter.
Thankfully there's A LOT more horror coming out this year.
For now, Hokum is my fav this year.
This nigga drake said "Last one you dropped was shit...all mid, mid, skip, skips" then proceed to drop THREEEEEEE albums filled with nothing but mid and skips
