Who needs Juan Soto when you’ve got Lane Thomas?

[The Pursuit @OnePursuitDC]

The next Juan Soto. No pressure, kid.

Juan Soto just arrived at Nationals Park. Threw up his hands and said “Hey! Hey!” to the team’s social media crew by the tunnel. First thing he says to me: “You didn’t tell me where I was going!”

Then he went into the Nationals’ clubhouse with a stack of envelopes.

It’s freaking sad tbh

[The Pursuit @OnePursuitDC]

Seeing Juan Soto win the home run derby, keeping his poise at the plate throughout the night despite being the center of attention with the trade talks and another lowball offer by the Lerners was bittersweet. Going to miss him so much.

[The Pursuit @OnePursuitDC]

Juan Soto walked.

On October 3, 2021 – after 16 seasons, 1,799 games and a World Series Championship – Ryan Zimmerman played his final MLB game.

Tomorrow, we honor Mr. National with the first Nats number retirement in Washington Nationals history.

A huge thanks to @JuanSoto25_ and the @Nationals for coming out to Fred Crabtree Park to visit with our players. It was an awesome experience! Juan is the absolute best! The Nationals TeamUP program provides uniforms and so many super cool events for our players. We are grateful!

It always seemed possible, even likely, with the TBD in this week’s rotation … but hearing the Nationals expect Stephen Strasburg to start against the Marlins in Miami on Thursday. Monday’s bullpen session went well.

[The Pursuit @OnePursuitDC]

Juan Soto has homered twice today
