@MaraReinstein Excellent point! Could have been a classic Sunday night broadcast TV movie for many years to come (ala Wizard of Oz) had it not done this split, where the 5+ hour (combined) runtime now makes that impossible.

@MaraReinstein True. Though 5 extra 2-3 minute blocks is meaningful. Felt like it brought the energy down whenever it was a Best Pic pkg coming out of commercial. Love following ur tweets on Oscar night! Woulda liked fresh blood for Best Actor, though I like Brody (Liberty Heights = underrated)

@MaraReinstein Agree!! So much more compelling and dramatic to show a key scene from the nominee’s actual work than these awkward verbal tributes by the presenter. Especially when so many viewers haven’t seen all the movies. At least it would give an idea of what the performance consisted of.

@Charlottean28 He did make all five kicks that day. A chip shot FG and four XP (32-33 yards). I just think it’s an overreaction to the game being outdoors (in totally mild conditions) to suggest this was some near-impossible FG. 3 points there alters the course of the game dramatically.

@jerryferrara Great point, Turtle! Feels like baseball hasn’t adjusted to the fact that it slowly morphed from LCS-WS to many more playoff teams now, and thus, more rounds. Was appropriate to celebrate each stage before. Now it is silly. Teams champagning for winning that 2-game series was 😂.
