A risk score tells you how much exposure you have.

Risk appetite helps tell you what to do about it.

And being within tolerance doesn’t automatically mean a risk is acceptable.

Closing an incident isn’t the same as learning from it.

A mature process asks:

What happened?
Which controls failed?
What risk changed?
Who owns the actions?

Detect → Respond → Investigate → Improve

Every incident should make the organisation smarter.

@segoslavia So when they keep pressing you about what you would do if the risk owner refuses the risk treatment, just tell them that it would be entered into the risk exceptions register and should be reviewed after some time.
