"The irrational confidence of Gen Z is astonishing"
Offense opened up the flood gates in the 2nd half, and the defense decided to stop allowing in breaking deep crosses the rest of the way. Packers are obviously pretty good, but dont scream out Super Bowl contender. Especially in the NFC.
Yes, this one hurts.
But what the Bears showed in the 2nd half was a playoff level effort. Down 2 score at half and they adjusted and responded the way a good playoff team does.
This game doesn't give me less confidence in the Chicago Bears. It gives me more.
Do the Bears not believe in any concept of inside leverage? Mugging the box has everyone out leveraged.
Byard has been eaten up twice in the middle of the field to boot.
Ryan Poles fleeced the Carolina Panthers into one of the greatest draft hauls in modern history. Drafted Caleb Williams. Hired Ben Johnson. Rebuilt the O-line. Assembled the best collection of skill talent the Bears have ever had. But yโall crying about a day 3 RB.
Was able to interact with these guys fairly often when they were getting going. Maybe it was the elder millenial vibe, but they gave you a enjoyable delivery and kept you engaged. They did it the right way.
The 3 things this move has going for it is:
A) Nearly two decade NFL HC Sean Payton took him on at age 23
B) Payton thought enough to take him with to Denver
C) Put him at Tight End's Coach, getting all the run block and pass game schematics in one position.
Youth movement: The #Bears are hiring 28-year-old Declan Doyle as their offensive coordinator, sources tell me and @RapSheet.
Most recently tight ends coach in Denver, Doyle has been a valued assistant for Sean Payton. Now he heads to Chicago as Ben Johnsonโs OC.
The play before the Hail Mary, #Commanders OC Kliff Kingsbury called a quick 13-yard pass to Terry McLaurin with the Bears playing deep. Without this call, Jayden Daniels would never have had a shot at throwing the Hail Mary.
Don't let this go unnoticed.
