Colossians 2:9-10 NKJV
For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; [10] and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.
Yes, this means Jesus is God the Father and God the Father is the Holy Spirit!
@rightwingridder@ALRuach@Lumichaoss Jesus is the Father in flesh.
He had to - to be our Great High Priest.
Read John 14 - He trying to tell people He’s the Father and the Holy Spirit - because God is a SPIRIT!
Read Isaiah 9:6, Matt 28:19 what’s the name (singular)
@Paul00540712 Doctrine of the trinity messed a lot of things up. Look at the root. Look where it started. Look who it came from.
Seriously do some history on it and you will see it’s not biblical. It’s outside of scripture.
@howertonjosh This is the issue with the Trinity. It produces bad theology. Sadly it comes from a genuine place.
Jesus was born at specific time - that’s why He was begotten. He’s not the eternal son - He’s not the Angel of the Lord.
God manifest Himself however he wants - hence I AM
@LizzyHock1963@farmingandJesus read that scripture slowly - "the man Christ Jesus"
Jesus was the atoning sacrifice that makes us in right standing with God. Its was the humanity of Christ.
Jesus was fully man and is fully the Father.
The trinity is a poor doctrine built on philosophy and poor theology.
@churchtalkative The only way someone can refute this scripture would be by using philosophical terms (essence, coequal, coexisting) - which are not found in scripture. Let the scripture define itself. Not the doctrine for the trinity.
Paul warned against the Greek philosophers. Colossians 2:8
@LizzyHock1963@farmingandJesus This is referring to the belief in Jesus Christ - His death burial and resurrection.
If you think Jesus and the Father are two separate persons you have two Gods.
@joshwhitlatch Ephesians 2:10 KJV
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
@bradwilliams2@joshwhitlatch He’s cherry picking scripture to appeal to the flesh.
Salvation is past, present, and future.
Confessing Christ is a seed that should lead to genuine repentance and water baptism.
Baptism is for the remission of sins.
Acts 2:38
@JosephSwar86703@osasisHERESY Matthew 24:13 KJV
But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
Hebrews 10:26 KJV
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
@joshwhitlatch If I said meet me at the bank tomorrow and I’ll give you 100k and you did - that would show your faith.
If you didn’t show up that means you didn’t have faith.
@FelixLucid@joshwhitlatch If Jesus’ blood was applied to everyone - there would no need to do anything. Everyone would be forgiven for sins.
You have to choose to enter into a covenant relationship with God - which is through faith, repentance, and the waters of baptism.
@FelixLucid@joshwhitlatch God is all about divine order. He doesn’t just have His disciples and apostles preach baptism for it to be optional.
Without baptism you don’t enter into covenant with God. Your sins are not forgiven.
Pray for a greater revelation about the purpose and power of baptism!
@FelixLucid@joshwhitlatch People struggle with baptism because to many people they know have died without being baptism. God is the ultimate judge but we must adhere to the scriptures.
We cannot add or diminish the Word of God.
@FelixLucid@joshwhitlatch Acts 10:47-48 KJV
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? [48] And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.
@joshwhitlatch@EschatologyFB@NewBlockCath Baptism is for the remission of sins
Acts 2:38 KJV
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Baptism is the response to the gospel.
