Gusto just announced Gusto Cofounder, and this is something I'm really excited about. Not just because it's all I've been doing for the last two months, but because I think it's an example of what I've always thought to be the ideal user experience for our customers โ almost no user interface, we just do it for you โ run payroll via SMS, get weekly reports, set up automatic expense approvals, or anything else on your mind. It's an AI assistant for 500k small businesses, available in their preferred messaging app. Here are a few real conversations I've had with it ๐
Smol but exciting update: Iโve been working on the AI Platform team at Gusto to build the next gen Gus agent ๐คญ
Itโs been such a refreshing and energizing career shift to work in AI.
AI canโt run your business for you, but it *can* make it easier.
Meet Gus AI, your AI-powered assistant built for small businesses. Need quick answers on compliance? Just ask. โฌ๏ธ

An underrated thing my mentor did with me is sit down and talk about org changes and announcements (e.g. company financials, compensation, leadership, etc). It taught me how to think more critically about these changes and form better opinions.
Iโm not an engineering manager but learning about how other companies scale their org is quite interesting. Iโve only worked at larger companies so there are just some practices that make me go โhmm idk if that would work at our scaleโ
anyway the @duolingo office is nice
