@sudoingX You can. It's called swap space on Linux. But it's slow, REALLY slow compared to RAM. Even shitty DDR3 Ram is 100x faster then a fast SSD. The only reason swap exists is so your computer doesn't blow up when it runs out of memory.
@0xPrajwal_ Setting up a compiler and linking libraries with C/C++ is a pain in the arse compared to Rust. Since LLMs can't really handle this part, vibecoders go for Rust since it's much easier to setup.
@facedevstuff I think Libreoffice is fine, but people who recommend GIMP as an alternative to photoshop are madmen. It has UI resembling a boeing flight deck yet you can't create a circle in it.
@LeeLeepenkman Writing assembly honestly isn't that bad while you're in the thick of it, but the moment you look at some else's assembly code or step away from your own it's literal nonsense.
@JulianMolanoX I like how people are either "porn will literally rot your brain and turn you into an evil rapist meth zombie" or "it's perfectly healthy and you should jack off 18 times a day or you'll die instantly from cancer".
@ronisarkar_exe It's because LLMs are worse with them. Another reason is that the type of tasks these languages attract are usually long, constrained and unsexy. Usually not the "move fast and break things" attitude that web development demands.
