@thesoopabees@JewishWhites Agree with you in terms of ticketing and connection with old school fans but on the pitch we have a good manager & team so as long as that continues he won’t be deemed an all round bad owner. Not too keen on Brentford’s style, but it’s effective so both teams doing well overall.
@lowcarb_mark@mrdanwalker I think this is a huge factor. People’s viewing habits have changed due to a multiplicity of screens & concentration spans don’t cater for slightly slower paced version of what the TikTok generation get from…TikTok. The USP of FF back in the day was slow paced, patient features.
@Robbiecoppack@MalachiMcB Know from experience as a Fulham fan…Parker’s defensive and tactical work in the Championship is incredible - you just can’t survive in the Premier League being that ultra defensive & with little goal threat. But with Fulham & Bournemouth he also threw in the towel it seemed.
@Gaz5tevo@AdamCrafton_ In some ways what Davis is saying is backing him, because it’s saying there’s a real person underneath the persona, but it’s lost somewhere along the way. May he could have said it privately but there’s nothing wrong with seeing it like that.
@sorinetheturtle@JBrianR91@jonharland_@WhiteNoise1879 I agree with you 100% - Brentford our main rivalry for most old school fans: QPR in the last 20 years too. Chelsea is a local derby of course and we used to be loud there but it’s not at all reciprocated and doesn’t really exist as a rivalry. Brentford less deluded than QPR.
@JBrianR91@MarkBurridge1@jonharland_@WhiteNoise1879 For me it’s because in the late 80s and 90s we played each other a lot and that’s where the rivalry really took off. Brentford were better than us at the time - significantly.
@BristolCityFM So Roy’s influence is nothing and it’s all just luck 👍🏼. Despite his record turning things around for languishing clubs time and time and time again.
@Dan_J_Maher@BristolCity@philmcnulty Because he’s a legend - you can’t sack Tinnion: would be the same as Bournemouth sacking Steve Fletcher. You can’t just excise part of the club’s soil like that.
@WhiteNoise1879 Does this depend on the definition of success. The fact that as a small club we have a strong heritage, have produced England legends, have competed in the top division/ Europe and beaten everyone domestically means we have a strong heritage to enjoy with friends and pass on.
