@IrishRail Of course there is congestion at peak am commuting times in the city centre- but surely as a transport provider that should come into consideration when planning and forecasting timetables? Why are daily delays like this still happening??

@IrishRail @IrishRail again thanks for your response but I really do not understand how a train that only begins service in Pearse can be 8 mins delayed leaving the yard in the same place ... pearse station.

@IrishRail This train only starts service at Pearse Station. Congestion through city centre seems like a weak excuse for a consistently late service where the dart appears to take priority over commuter trains.
