Driving home, 2011. Checkpoint. Drunk policeman.
3 gun shots, one bullet punched through my car boot into my right hand.
That hand once edit, animated, paid bills and fed my family. Overnight it became dead weight.
Career gone. Marriage cracked. Mind still bleeding daily.I sued the Nigeria Police.
2015: Federal High Court ordered them to fund reconstructive surgery to restore my life.
Eleven years later: zero naira, zero apology, zero accountability.
I still canāt fully use the hand they destroyed. Still begging strangers so I donāt lose it forever.
The Nigeria Police that shot me ignores the court. Who protects the rest of us?

SOMETIMES THE BIGGEST RISK IS NEVER GIVING YOURSELF THE CHANCE TO LIVE THE LIFE YOU WERE MEANT FOR. CHOOSE COURAGE. EMBRACE THE UNKNOWN. LOVE DEEPLY. DREAM WITHOUT APOLOGY. EVERY EXPERIENCE, WHETHER IT BRINGS JOY OR PAIN, SHAPES THE PERSON YOU ARE BECOMING. DONāT LET FEAR WRITE YOUR STORY. YOUR TIME IS PRECIOUS, YOUR HEART IS STRONGER THAN YOU THINK, AND YOUR LIFE IS WORTH LIVING TO THE FULLEST. š„ā¼ļø
If thereās one thing I can promise you, itās thisā¦choosing courage is always worthwhile.
Dare to step beyond what feels comfortable. Trust your instincts. Open your heart, even when itās easier to build walls around it. Take chances, even when failure is a possibility. Embrace opportunities you never imagined and choose bravery instead of fear.
Give yourself permission to discover the life thatās waiting for you. Not every chapter will have a perfect ending, but every experience will leave you with something valuable. Every story, even the painful ones, deserves to be lived because they shape the person you become.
Yes, being kind in a world that can be unforgiving will sometimes hurt. Hope may lead to disappointment, and love may end in heartbreak. Thatās part of being human. The difficult moments donāt make life less meaningful but they make the beautiful moments even more precious.
Love deeply. Feel everything. Keep trying, even when itās hard. Donāt shrink yourself to fit into places you were never meant to stay. Donāt abandon your dreams just because the safer path looks easier.
Listen to the quiet voice inside you when it calls you toward something greater. Life moves quickly and your time and energy are gifts you can never get back.
Take the risk. Chase the dream. Live with intention. Because the greatest regret isnāt failing but itās never allowing yourself the chance to truly live.
You are worth every opportunity you give yourself. So donāt hold back. The life youāre searching for may be waiting on the other side of courage.
Be guided. š
Humans will forget 10,000 times you were kind, and remember 10 times you chose yourself instead.
Choose yourself more often. The world will move on without you when you finally can no longer give from your empty cup.
People that think Iām super nice and non confrontational donāt understand that itās because I like them and they havenāt done anything to warrant any other treatment and as long as they stay there, theyāll never know any other version of me. So much so that if someone told them a story of my madness, theyād call that person a liar.
If you don't have enough money to fall back on and you don't have a strong heart to overlook disappointments, don't loan people money. It's a form of self-harm.
For being a good person, you later become a bad person. And that is after you don't get your money back or you get it when you are past needing it.
Out of kindness, like me, you will break this rule at times. Also like me, you will pay for it!
Three years later, we can see that the monkeys that snatched the car key from the owner are still unable to drive it. The car is still where the owner left it.
I do not subscribe to ācatch upā culture anymore. If weāre not actively in each others lives anymore Iāll just have to call you an acquaintance.
If your phone spoil and you use Tanasobe for two months while listening to every radio station in your region, youāll know that buying a new phone is a big achievement. Donāt ask me how I know šā¦
My purpose in the game is fulfilled āļø
I lived out my childhood dreams, played on the biggest stages, won the biggest trophies. Grateful to God for all of it.
To all my fans, the clubs, my teammates and my family: this will forever be ours. Thank you.
The mission is complete. Now I step into my next calling.
More of the journey to come.
Love,
