This is why I wait until I see someone in every season…how they behave when they’re angry, sad, facing hardship.. because the “good times” don’t test or make a relationship.
my approach to dating these days: I may like or love you, but I cannot love you like my life depends on it, or like my world will fall apart if you leave. I acknowledge that your leaving will hurt, take time and resources to recover from; that’s a cost I seldom have to bear.
People are so focused on money that they forget abundance exists in so many other forms. health, peace, growth, love, knowledge, opportunity, and community. Life’s value is far greater than what’s in your bank account.
Perhaps this year isn't about becoming anything at all. Maybe instead, it's about slowly unbecoming all the things which no longer align with you, and finding peace in the quiet return to your authentic self.
When you decenter your life from the idea of being in a relationship and focus on elevating yourself, you realize how many goals, opportunities, and accomplishments are waiting for your attention. Your fulfillment in life becomes rooted in your growth, your purpose, and the person you’re capable of becoming.
Not to sound delusional but please pray for grace. Life isn’t just about hard work, it’s also about meeting the right people, receiving mercy, and finding favour. Sometimes grace can take you where effort alone cannot 🤍🙏.
my main goal is to make sure tht i reach my full potential. There's a woman i plan to be but I'm not her yet. I'm still learning & growing, failing & resetting, hitting & missing. Buh I'll keep working till i become who i aspire to be...
The older I get, the more delicate I become. I want everything around me to just be easy and soft. I’m no longer interested in anything that disturbs my peace.
A reminder from Atomic Habits by James Clear:
“It doesn't make sense to continue wanting something if you're not willing to do what it takes to get it. If you don't want to live the lifestyle, then release yourself from the desire. To crave the result but not the process is to guarantee disappointment.”
