@LoopingBytes@ECOWARRIORSS It can be multiple things. The amount of carbon we've put into the atmosphere in a (geologically speaking) blink of an eye, would be an issue even without the level of global deforestation exacerbating it. Also we're ruining ocean habitats that deal with huge amounts of carbon.
@sonisorrows@Digital_Unrest If you already like Knocked Loose then there should be some appeal in bands such as Terminal Sleep, Thousand Knives, Sanction, Mugshot, Orthodox, Killing Me Softly, Crowquill, Mortality Rate, Varials, Delta Hate, END, Inclination, Mouthbreather, Year Of The Knife
@susanpow@Dr_W_E_Bulmer If this were actually about child safety the government would be making platforms responsible for their content, perhaps even classifying them as publishers, not forcing users to hand over their data to maintain access.
@implausibleblog@piersmorgan And, pretty importantly, he was showing no interest in standing as an MP in the '24 General Election until after the 'gift'.
A billionaire paid him to run. 15 - 20 years ago it would've been a resignation issue, but now you can just brazen it out if shameless enough.
@Channel4News Appreciate that @Channel4News does a better job than many media organisations by actually covering this horrendous activity, but calling these violent colonisers 'settlers' minimises the egregiousness of what they're doing and how they behave.
@_PaleblueDot__@wrathofgnon Should probably read up on bees. Ones that use the bee bricks are solitary bees like masons and leafcutters. You won't be swarmed or infested. Solitaries are also much more docile than honey bees. If you somehow managed to provok them, the sting is very weak.
@BelfastAccount2@wrathofgnon Not really. Nesting sites will be re-used if possible, the only reason any of them move away from the one they came from is that each nest produces multiple new bees and it's not possible to share the birth site for future nesting. 1 hole per female bee.
@geopoetic@wrathofgnon 2/2 That requires actively observing when the bees are leaving and working out when the tubes are empty. More effort than most are willing or able to put in really.
Those solid blocks with holes drilled in are much more difficult to replace without chucking away some bees.
@geopoetic@wrathofgnon The issue isn't really that bees won't use them, it's that they become festering breeding grounds for parasites and disease because most people don't monitor and manage the 'hotel' properly. Really it's advised to swap out the bamboo tubes every 2 years. 1/2
@eleanorbebop@Branebustah The vocalist of Verse is in Love Letter now along with a couple of members of Defeater.
Also Fading Signal are a sick newer mhc band that I think are comparable to Verse.
@a_toots John McAndrew, Erron Gordon and Robbie Gibb. Three men in very senior positions regarding BBC News programming, all of them are ex-GB News.
Suddenly the excessive platforming of Reform makes sense.
@polaroidplrbear @whispererofbeer They don't do it all the time, but Your Spirit Dies and Wristmeetrazor have tracks that should scratch that itch and they don't lack for other riffs. A Mourning Star and View From The Soyuz are other great newer melodeath inspired bands.
@lliveandalive 2/2
Trash Boat - Nothing I Write You Can Change What You've Been Through (2016), Crown Shyness (2018)
Stand Atlantic - Skinny Dipping (2018)
@lliveandalive Youth Fountain - Letters To our Former Selves (2019)
The Wonder Years - Greatest Generation (2013) Hum Goes On Forever (2022). The releases in between is good too, but they veer more towards post-hardcore and alternative rock than pop punk
Parting Ways - Meant Well (2019)

@Daniel113349389 @theamazingemy Anyone from the UK reading this thread should turn themselves onto Cinema Paradiso, great rent by post service. It's noticeable, though, how over the last few years the number of new titles per week is dropping. Especially for DVD. So many new films simply aren't getting a DVD.
@dis_joint_ed@MoneyTelegraph They're much better off than that. Β£87k is top 5%, top 1% is around Β£170k. As a pair their Β£225k exceeds that considerably.
@Leo_Iam_535@MoneyTelegraph The idea that people like this are middle class is utter self-delusion. Β£87k makes someone a top 5% earner, Β£100k is more like top 3%.
Now, call me a commie, but it's simply not possible to middle anything when you're that high up the socio-economic ladder.
