One year after I submitted my PhD thesis and nine months after a successful Viva, I returned to Cambridge to hold the finger, kneel, and be formally admitted to the degree of Doctoris in Philosophia at a Congregation of the Regent House…/1

In two decades of practice, I have sat across from the client who says the brief is too expensive and means it.
I have watched clients walk out and brief a less experienced lawyer at half the rate, not because that lawyer was better, but because there was nothing to stop them.
I have seen what fee erosion does to a profession over time. Not just to individual income. To how lawyers carry themselves. To how much courage they can afford to bring into a courtroom. To whether the brightest people from the Law School decide that practice is worth it.
This is why the Remuneration Order matters to me personally. I did not set up that Lagos Branch committee in 2019 because it was the right thing to say at a branch meeting. I set it up because I have watched the problem long enough to know that a conversation without a mechanism changes nothing.
Four years later, the national Remuneration Order is law. It is not enforced yet. Making it real is the next chapter.
That is what this presidency is for.
Saturday 18 July 2026. Vote LOA.

@trusttv_news Confused by the Prof’s statements. Ethno-religious crisis in Jos predated Jang’s emergence as Governor. This sounds like a campaign of calumny.
“Jesus mandated us believers to to take care of the poor. The role of the government is the role of the government. It was the church that influenced the government to set up the social welfare.”
— Prof. Yemi Osinbajo says after he was asked what’s the role of government if the church must take care of the poor.

@ChifeDr@General_Oluchi Critique choices, not people. You are right that people may support systems that harm them. But it is their choice, not yours. It would be more effective to ask why people make those choices and then address the underlying concerns. Ridiculing people reflects poorly on you.
