@lindenashcroft Absolutely!! But I’m really excited to record something that will be used in an actual lecture! 👩‍🏫 I had to use almost every book I have with me (including one you recommended!) and my tissue box to minimise the double chin!

Today I learnt that trying to record a presentation is much, much worse than actually giving it in person because it involves:
1) having to listen back to your own voice, and
2) seeing what you look like in the flipped version of your webcam.

@steph_kourambas spoke at the #unimelbscicomm conference about how a molecule could block mincle and help to combat heart disease by reducing inflammation and lowering the symptoms associated with it. She answered questions really well! 🔬🧪🧫

Clancy from @specifly_lab spoke today at the #unimelbscicomm conference, presenting his research on a sex biasing #genedrive in fruit flies. He spoke about how gene drives are a fantastic potential method of pest control that will not impact non target species like pesticides do.

Stephanie spoke in the #unimelbscicomm on her research studying how beaches can recover from erosion over long periods of time. She even gets to fly drones around the beach as part of her research! 🌊🏖🏝🌅
