The Irish Daily Mail continues to do a stellar job highlighting how the Irish government is funding events that platform those who support men putting babies to their nipples.

It’s the Health Research Board this time, funding an event in University College Cork, and hosting midwife Ash Bainbridge, who calls it chestfeeding if the man identifies as a man, and breastfeeding if he identifies as a woman.

Where are the rights, needs, and safety of the babies in all of this?

Why is taxpayers’ money being used in this way?

The charitable object of Girlguiding is to promote the education and development of girls and young women.

Girlguiding is a single-sex association that relies on exemptions in the Equality Act 2010 to operate lawfully.

These exemptions permit Girlguiding to legally discriminate against boys and young men, by excluding them from membership and leadership roles.

The FWS judgment clarified that under equality law, girls/women refers to sex.

If Girlguiding were to continue to allow boys and young men into their membership, they would contravene their overarching charitable object, be a de facto mixed sex association, and potentially fall foul of equality law by discriminating against boys and young men without the protected characteristic of gender reassignment.
