OpenSoccer

We call for unity across US soccer and for teams to be judged by their performance and results on the field, just as they are in soccer leagues around the world

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

Time for a conversation thread…
#OpenSoccer is always about an open system for the greatest game in the world.
The strength and growth of @MLS in a closed system for economic success or the rest of the world for fan engagement. Is it a business or a game? Is it both?

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@ProtagonistUSA @open_soccer_ @johnhf_jersey It’s a rather good idea!

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

#ProRel doesn’t attract fans, doesn’t generate interest in the game...they say. Doubt these fans agree. @CardiffCityFC #OpenSoccer @ESPNFC @SkySportsNews https://t.co/FBvmASi27d

[Phil Blanche 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 @philblanche]

Cardiff fans celebrate promotion to the Premier League on the pitch.

Welcome to Miami...Eventually. Someday. #Miami2MLS #MLS #Beckham https://t.co/LjAfO2K9e3 via @wordpressdotcom

@gabykirschner Makes no sense to support #savethecrew and curse those doing this to your team while dancing for demise of @NASL #closedsoccer #opensoccer #soccernation #soccer #futbol #NASL

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@RobStoneONFOX #closedsoccer. No benefit to players, development and the future of the game to help force the demise of a league. #SoccerNation @naslofficial #nasl #RiseTogether #soccer #futbol

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

Hopefully this is the just the start of our awakening as a #SoccerNation. Thank you to all those that ran, all that fought and continue to work to transform this country into a top soccer nation for everybody involved in the sport. #opensoccer #risetogether

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

It's time for #OpenSoccer and this country to rise as a#SoccerNation. We encourage all #USSF to vote for the candidate that will help develop soccer in this nation at all levels to success.

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@JohnPMotta Change the stagnant status #Force #Respect #RiseTogether #OpenSoccer #SoccerNation

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@wikimls That's not #OpenSoccer. Once again looking after a small group of wallets instead of the game.

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@NipunChopra7 Has the switch to USL budgets hurt the team that badly that it's no longer the same quality level and team? Or is this just the team getting younger?

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@TheMiamiFC @futbolmiamimls Classy. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@BrianCostin @ussoccer Playing with nothing at stake doesn't drive a lot of attendance. Kind of like playing without #ProRelforUSA

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@THEChrisKessell @SGS4ProRel The tv side I'm sure looked good

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@SomeCosmosFan But multiple time zones are important regardless...

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@darrenrovell @VinceMcMahon @alphaentllc Does US Football or the NFL get a say? Asking for a friend.. @FIFAcom #OpenSoccer #ProRelforUSA

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

#TogetherStonger or #RiseTogether - globally for football it's the right message! #ProRelforUSA #OpenSoccer https://t.co/qU4MlSS6B2

[Will @Rdwngfn19]

According to USSF/MLS promotion and relegation is an early 20th century concept and nobody would do it today given the chance. 4 top European national team will face relegation. https://t.co/qI1sEUzbkN

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@NipunChopra7 @thegoalkeeper @MemCitySmitty @USL Sorry wasn't meaning to make it an NASL v USL thread. Teams will move as needed or enticed by economics in the current US soccer structure. It wasn't meant as a judgement or badgering but curious as to why all the changes and displeasure with the team.

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@thegoalkeeper @MemCitySmitty @NipunChopra7 @USL @ussoccer @ussoccer_wnt Agreed. More of a comment on a double standard or conveniently arbitrary for which fifa rules are important and which are ignored. Lucas will be a great venue and adds to the game day experience. Good food too! Fans will love it. Lease wise it must be more expensive.

[OpenSoccer @OpenSoccerUSA]

@MemCitySmitty @NipunChopra7 @USL @thegoalkeeper Not to change topics but if the turf is a mandatory element via FIFA (Another FIFA rule that is followed despite #ProRelForUSA not being)... why is the @ussoccer concerned about D2 playing on turf but not our @ussoccer_wnt ?
